This notice is for general information. It is not legal advice. Submitting a form or contacting us does not create an attorney-client relationship. Please do not include confidential details in a web form until we confirm a conflict check and engagement terms.

Depending on how you use the site, we may collect:

Information you provide

• Intake / contact forms (including the homepage contact form): information you choose to submit, which may include name, email, phone, organization, role, and a description of your matter or inquiry. Please do not include confidential details at the initial stage.
• Newsletter signup: email address and any preferences you submit.
• Email or phone: information you send to info@mklaw.com or provide by phone.

Information collected automatically

• Server and security logs typical of operating a website (for example, IP address, browser type, pages requested, dates/times, and similar technical data).
• Analytics: We use or intend to use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site (for example, pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP, device/browser information, and similar usage metrics). Google may set cookies or similar technologies. See Google’s Privacy Policy.

We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. This site is not directed to children.

How we use information

We use personal information to:

We do not sell your personal information for advertising. Paid advertising on this site remains off unless we separately enable it and update this notice.

Where information is processed and stored

Our public website is hosted on Cloudflare. Personal information you submit through the site may be processed and stored using cloud systems operated by or for the firm to run the website and related tools, including Cloudflare and (when connected) email and office systems.

We have not yet published a complete production storage map. Retention periods for intake and newsletter records are not yet finalized. If you need details about where a specific submission is stored or how long we keep it, contact info@mklaw.com. We will update this section when those practices are confirmed.

Service providers (processors)

We use service providers to help operate the site and practice. Depending on configuration, that may include:

These providers process information on our behalf under their terms and our instructions, to the extent applicable. We may also disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect rights, safety, or security.

Outbound delivery of intake form submissions to an external webhook or CRM may be limited or inactive at times. Submissions may still be stored for firm review. Cookies and analytics choices

Google Analytics and similar tools may use cookies or local storage. When analytics are active on this site, you should be able to manage non-essential analytics cookies through the consent controls we provide (if shown) and/or your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect some site features.

We do not currently use third-party advertising pixels for paid ads on this site.

Newsletter

If you subscribe, we use your email to send occasional firm news or case updates. Messages are not legal advice. You can unsubscribe using the link in an email or by contacting us. Until a full email service and monitoring path are confirmed, treat newsletter signup as a request to hear from the firm — not a guaranteed delivery list.

Prospective clients and confidentiality

Information you share as a prospective client is handled consistent with the professional conduct rules that apply to prospective clients (including Model Rule 1.18, as applicable). A web form does not by itself create an attorney-client relationship or guarantee confidentiality of unsolicited details. Do not send confidential information until we ask you to.

International and multi-state visitors

We maintain offices and practice information for jurisdictions where our lawyers are admitted, as described elsewhere on this site. We do not target the European Union or United Kingdom for website marketing or intake. If you contact us from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States.

This site does not offer legal services in jurisdictions where we are not authorized to practice. Admission and practice limits are described on our attorneys and jurisdiction materials.

Your choices and requests

Subject to law and our professional obligations, you may:

• Request access to or correction of personal information we hold about you
• Ask us to delete information we are not required to keep
• Unsubscribe from the newsletter
• Limit cookies through browser or on-site consent tools (when available)

Email info@mklaw.com to make a request. We may need to verify your identity. Some requests may be limited where we must retain records for conflicts, malpractice, legal holds, or other professional or legal duties.

Minnesota Consumer Data Privacy Act (MCDPA): Whether MKE is a “controller” under Minn. Stat. ch. 325M depends on statutory thresholds (including consumer volume and small-business status) that we have not confirmed for this notice. If and when those rules apply to us, we will update this policy with the required disclosures and rights process. This notice is provided regardless, as a description of our website practices.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the site after an update means the revised notice applies to information collected afterward. Material changes to how we use previously collected information will be addressed as required by applicable law.
