Elizabeth A. Nielsen

Elizabeth Nielsen joined the firm in 2022. Her practice centers on federal civil litigation and appellate work, with a focus on parental rights, religious free exercise, and free speech matters. She represented clients in two federal jury trials as a student attorney in the University of Illinois College of Law Federal Civil Rights Clinic.

She earned her J.D. magna cum laude from the University of Illinois College of Law, where she received the Rickert Award for Excellence in Advocacy and the Paul M. Lisnek Award for Excellence and Ethics in Trial Advocacy, competed on trial team and moot court, and served as an Administrative Editor of the Illinois Law Review. She holds a B.A. summa cum laude from Southern Illinois University. She is admitted in Minnesota, Michigan, and Pennsylvania, and in the Third, Sixth, Seventh, Eighth, and Ninth Circuits.
